Skincare is no joke. I’ve struggled a little bit with my skin lately (as most 20-somethings do from time to time) and it has reiterated with me just how important a good skincare routine is and why it should become a part of our daily habit. I usually follow the same type of routine, like washing my face in the morning but really scrubbing off the day before bed every night. What I don’t follow religiously is the type of products I use.
I’m such a consumer and totally play in to the latest products that have pretty packaging. I just HAVE to try them. But since I have very sensitive skin that also dries out quickly, my skin is not always as big a fan of the new product as I am. But there is always a brand that has worked. No matter how many times I try and dispute it and move on to something new, I quickly realize I should have stayed with Clinique.
I often here “But isn’t that like a grandmother’s brand?” Well… my grandmother DOES swear by it. But at 88 years old her skin is incredible so that must mean something! I also know that it’s the only brand that can fight breakout without totally ruining my skin. Here’s my little nightly dream team. I’m working my way through literally a million samples of this stuff at the moment.
I’m ALWAYS happy with my results when I stick with Clinique. It’s like bringing in the big guns when I’ve done something stupid and royally messed with my skin’s balance. And I love that everything can be mixed and matched to give your skin the right treatment it needs. Don’t be shy of the women at the counter, as most are really well informed and will help you find a perfect batch of products to fit your skin’s specific needs.
Radley had to jump in to have his picture made!
Sticking with this regular regimen has made a world of difference with my skin. And there’s literally nothing better than watching your skin clear up and get healthy. So here I am, sitting here with only mascara on to prove it!
Alright, just one more photo of Radley because he couldn’t stand not being the center of attention.
What skincare routine do you swear by? What companies have worked best for you?
