HAPPY LEAP DAY! I hope you are enjoying your extra day this year, even if it is a Monday.
February has come and gone, and honestly it moved a lot slower than I thought it would. Maybe it’s because warm weather can’t get here fast enough, and the fact that the days are getting longer again has made my days drag by. But as usual, on the last day of the month I round up my favorites and tell you all about them. A lot of beauty products crept in this month, but I’m seriously so happy to have found each of them.
So without further ado, here are my February Favorites:
As many of you know, I’ve been doing the BBG workouts for about 8 weeks now. All of the workouts are designed so that they can be done at home, so I really needed a good yoga mat to put over the carpet in my room. Mike got me this one for Valentine’s day, knowing how much I needed one, and I absolutely love it. It has just enough padding to be comfortable doing all those ab workouts and it’s super long so I never have to worry about my feet sliding off the end.
I’m kind of behind the times on this one because I’m not usually one for a crime drama, especially one that’s real because that just sounds like something that would upset me. But my college roommate told me about Making a Murderer and how she was absolutely addicted to it. I started watching and am hooked. I’m a couple of episodes away from finishing and it’s has me questioning our entire judicial system. Did he do it or not?
My skin has been struggling this month, so I decided to switch skin care products (stay tuned for a post about my routine). I’ve heard a ton about the Simple brand, and since I have SUPER sensitive skin, the fact that they claim to use gentle ingredients greatly appealed to me. I have to say, even though this stuff is called a water, it’s pretty tough. I love seeing my skin get cleaner with each wipe of a cotton ball, and the fact that you don’t have to rinse it off appeals to my lazy side.
I’m currently trying to grow my hair back out, and I had read about Redken’s Extreme Length products. I decided to try their primer since it acts as a sort of prep for conditioner. I know that you can buy the next step in the product line to really achieve the most benefits, but right now I’m loving how incredible soft this is making my hair.
I already wrote a post about this product early this month, but I swear it’s a miracle worker for my brittle, fragile nails.
I also wrote a post on this pallet as well as Pallet 1. I really love both of these, and haven’t worn any other eye shadow since I bought them both. This one is probably my favorite of the two because of it’s slightly cooler tones.
This is by far my favorite red nail polish. I just painted my nails with it last night, in fact. It’s not over powering, but still has rich color. One coat is plenty and I find that it doesn’t chip when it’s paired with a good top coat.
Currently sitting in bed wearing these. I just purchased them and I LOVE them. Super comfy, but also are quite warm and have reflective panels so that you can wear them running and cars can see you. Some Target stores (including my own) have them on sale right now.
These were a last minute decision purchase at Target because I just thought they were adorable. The front one has a typewriter and says “Start Something Wonderful”. These would be such a cute gift, but I’m definitely keeping them for myself. A girl can never have too many notebooks.
This video is incredible. First of all, I love film photography and am super fascinated by the process. Secondly, I love antiques. I am totally memorized by these photos and I’m so jealous of this guy that does this for a living (or hobby? I don’t know if it said). So worth the watch.
So there you have it. I hope you enjoyed a peek into my February Favorites and that you found some new things to try/watch. Now go make the most of your extra day today and tell me all about it!
