This post kicks off the start of a series I will be calling “The Finished Product”. As the name suggests, I will use these posts as a chance to fully review products that I have used until the bottles are completely empty. That way I have had a chance to use the product to it’s full potential, and you guys don’t get cheated by reading a review from someone who used the product only a couple of times.
First of all, this company’s name is insanely hard to say, and I’m not sure I’ve ever really attempted it in public. So good luck with that one. But I have tried some of their shampoos as well, that I will review at a later time, so I feel pretty comfortable with the products they create.
The smell for this product is really really nice, and probably the best thing about it. Kind of fruity, but not overwhelming. I find that throughout the day I keep smelling my hair because it just smells fresh and delicious (weird, but true).
But let’s get down to business, this product doesn’t do much for me. I have blonde, wavy hair, and a LOT of it, so I tend to have a lot of volume when I want it. However, when I want straight, sleek hair, I don’t want flyaways, or for my split ends to be obnoxiously apparent. I was hoping that this product would give me smooth hair without making me greasy. That was not really the case.
I first started just spraying the product from the bottle onto my damp hair. However, that usually left my hair with sections looking greasy (even though I had just washed!). So as time went on I started the technique of spraying the mist into the palm of my hand and running it through just the ends of my hair. But then I wasn’t sure that the product was even there, aside from the smell. So I struggled to find a balance with a way to apply this product where it wasn’t too heavy or non-existent.
Probably my least favorite thing is that the bottle itself leaked uncontrollably. I see now from the pictures I found online that they have since redesigned their labels, and hopefully that means their bottles are redesigned as well. Of course if the bottle was tipped over, products seeped out about the top, which I wasn’t surprised by. But just sitting upright on my counter top, somehow the bottle still managed to leak and leave oily residue and rings where ever I sat it. I feel like I probably cleaned more of the product off my counter top than I actually was able to use (hopefully that’s not true, because this brand isn’t cheap.) But that was always frustrating because I had to be aware of where I was placing it at all times.
As you can tell, it took me quite a long time to finish this product, as I wasn’t super thrilled with it and I didn’t use it on a daily basis. I’m actually having a hard time remembering when I bought so it totally could have been 2 years ago. I doubt I will purchase this again, just because it didn’t seem worth the money to me. So next time I think I’ll try something new.
