We’ve have reached the end of August and I honestly can’t believe it’s over. That also means that we are leaving the Adventure concept and moving on to another theme for September. As with every month, there were a lot of posts that I wanted to do and just didn’t get around to making. Maybe they will come back around for a different concept. That being said, I’m very excited with what next month has in store, and I hope you are as well.
To wrap up our Adventure month, I thought I would reflect on some Adventures that have already happened this year.
➼ For one, I left probably the most stable job I’ve ever had, as a teacher. But there were several reasons why, and all of them were full of possibility that excited me immensely. I will miss my students and my fellow teachers, but I truly believe that it was the best choice for me.
➼ Going off of that, I decided to pour my heart and soul into getting my graphic design business off the ground. This is the most fun I’ve ever had and I get to work in my pajamas. So far so good.
➼ Mike and I took a big step in our relationship and moved in together. I know that’s quite a personal thing to share but it meant a lot to us both and it’s certainly been an adventure.
➼ We celebrated having Radley for 4 years. His ‘gotcha day’ was adorable and filled with ice cream and dog treats. And if you think owning a dog isn’t an adventure, well then, I know you’ve never owned a dog.
➼ So many friends have gotten married. This hasn’t quite been an adventure for me, per say, but seeing childhood friends of mine taking the leap into marriage has been exciting and wonderful.
I’m absolutely thrilled with how life is going right now. Let the Adventures keep on coming!
And speaking of, I created a theme to commemorate this Adventure month. Using the Adventure color palette, I kept it minimal in structure, with bold colors. It’s available for download here. Enjoy!
