This week has been a tough one, emotionally speaking. Though I don’t tend to share my political views (even on my personal facebook) let’s just say that I am devastated. But in an effort to remain positive, today’s post will be like most Friday posts; casual and light.

Updates

The bangs are back! (much to my mother’s dislike, haha! She never likes my bangs. Sorry Mom!) Since I was recently a bridesmaid in a friend’s wedding I wanted to wait until after the wedding to cut my bangs in case I didn’t like them. No need to over document a bad haircut in all of their wedding photos. But so far I’ve loved having them again!
I’ve also stated on instagram multiple times how busy life has become. I have so many ideas and plans for this blog but I’ve been all over the place (literally, traveling so much). Starting next week I plan to make this blog a priority again. Thanks for sticking with me!
Buying

I’ve owned this before but had thrown it away some years ago after quite a lot of use. I decided to repurchase the Olay ProX because I love how clean it leaves my face. It’s the same idea as a Clarisonic, just a fraction of the price. It came with two brush heads, which are fantastic, and two types of cleansers, but I swear by this Clinique facial soap and love using the two together.

I literally have worn these boots everyday since I bought them. They are crazy comfortable and the 2.5in heel is perfect for daily wear. They come in three colors, and I’m really wanting the other two. See below 😉

We sold this salve at Anthropologie when I worked there and for some reason I never gave it a try. It was kind of a last minute purchase at Ulta the other day but I’ve worn it constantly since then. It smells like roses, (obviously, it’s called rosebud salve…) which can be a tad old-lady-smell in my opinion but the product helps my chapped lips so much that I don’t even care.
To Buy

Like I said before, these boots are to die for. I really am contemplating getting the grey and tan colors. I just need to do it and stop thinking about it haha.

I’ve been going back and forth on whether or not to get one of the film packages from VSCO. They seem brilliant and I know they have gotten some great reviews. I’m just having a hard time choosing just one set!

This may in fact be the lens of my dreams. It’s the perfect focal length for portraits/weddings, but also has such a low f-stop that I’m literally dying to have it. Although, I’ve been thinking about updating my camera body as well, so I might hold off until then.
Inspiration

I just found Belong Magazine randomly at Barnes and Noble the other day and knew immediately it had to come home with me. It’s a blogging and entrepreneurial magazine and is absolutely gorgeous with fantastic content. I highly, highly recommend. I also picked up another copy of Bella Grace, which I’ve loved for quite some time.
Little known fact: It used to be my ultimate life goal to work for a magazine. As a teenager and throughout college I was really setting my sights on a Condé Nast magazine. Needless to say, it would be a dream come true to own/work for a magazine like Belong or Bella Grace. Both are perfection in my book. But lucky for me, I’ve still found a way to still write and be a graphic designer, so I’m not complaining.
I think that’s all for now. I hope you all have had a fabulous week! I’ll see you Monday!
