Well Ladies and Gents, we’ve reached the end of January. I know, I can’t believe it either. But that means it’s time to recap all the things that I absolutely loved during the first of the year. So without further ado, here is my top ten for this month.
1: Friday Night Dinner – this show comes from the UK and is absolutley hilarious! The cast is great and just a joy to watch.
However the show can be a little difficult to find all the episodes online since it’s not on Netflix or Hulu. But if you are a fan of
awkward situational comedy, definitely check out this show!
2: Dogs and Dresses – I just resently found this blog and I wish I had been following it sooner. Elien is stunning, has enviable
style, and a great head on her shoulders. It’s been fun going through and reading her old posts.
3: The Hunger Games Mockingjay pt 1 soundtrack – If you know me, it’s no secret that I love Lorde and think she is a musical genius. And this
soundtrack is full of her and as well as talented artists with similar sounds. In my opinion, there’s not a bad song on here.
4: OPI Lost on Lombard – I don’t know if this color is still available since I picked it up while it was on sale, but this
is a gorgeous deep red that I wore constantly during fall. I am still loving the bit of warm it adds to these winter months.
5: You’re Cute Cards – I picked these up at Anthropologie the other day because they were just so adorable. Some of my single friends
got them up to give to boys when they go out, but I decided to write little notes to Mike and give/leave them around the house
for him. I already gave him one and he keeps it in his wallet 🙂
6: Rajah Flat – I’ve lusted after these babies for some time now and need to just break down and buy them (Although I keep hoping
they’ll go on sale soon). They are so cute with jeans and are a great transition shoe for spring/summer.
7: Crosstown Patterns Tunic – Another Free People iteam. But I’m in love with this tunic. It looks to flowy and super comfortable.
Great for cooler summer nights, plus I can see layoring it over jeans and boots in the fall. Win/win!
8: Working in bed – This one’s kind of different, but still a favorite from this month! It’s been super cold here this month and I
want nothing more than to stay under my warm blanket with a cuddling dog beside me. You might ask, “but how do you keep from napping?”
You’d be surprised. Once you start working and really get invested in what you’re doing, before you know it it’ll be dinner time!
9: Humble Pie mk – Mike took me here a few nights ago for a date night and everything we had was amazing! It’s not a tapas resturaunt,
but it’s kind of the same idea. You order several things (we got 3 plates for the two of us) and they come with servings for everyone
to try! A bit pricey, but beautiful atmosphere and great for an evening out.
10: Red Wine and Wassail – We picked up some wassail when we were touring the Biltmore house earlier this month and they had a recipe
for cooking it with red wine. Wassail smells delicious so we decided it was worth a try. Let me tell you, this is heaven. It makes a
kind of rich cider that is amazing, even for someone who’s not the biggest fan of red wine like myself. The recipe would be great
for a party, because we had lots left over for the two of us.
What things have you been loving this month? And have you tried any of these?
