Let it be known, that just because a bunch of 20-something year olds are getting together to have a party, that doesn’t mean it’s a crazy time. I think you know what I mean. We know how to be civil adults as well. And I think there is nothing more fun that getting together to cook and eat with friends.
Mike’s roommate (also named Mike… confusing I know) decided he wanted to have pizza party and invite all our friends. He made the dough, and we each brought toppings of our choice to make personal pizzas. Now I don’t have his exact recipe for the dough. But after researching, I’ll give you the one that I think most closely fits what he made.
2.5 cups of flour
2.75 tsp. of baking powder
1 tsp. of salt
1 tbsp. of oil
.75 to 1 cup of water
Mix dry ingredients, then add in water and oil. Knead on a floured surface.
Mike adding his barbecue sauce.
Mike’s pizza on the left, mine on the right, before they went in the oven.
Like I said, we all brought our own ingredients. Mine was pretty standard with just Prego pizza sauce, pepperoni, cheese, and some bacon that Mike cooked. (I like meat, what can I say)
Mike got super fancy with his and it paid off! He used barbecue sauce instead of pizza sauce, grilled some chicken and cut it up into chunks, crumbled bacon and added cheese and jalapenos. It was so delicious it’s not even funny. I guess a little extra time spent is what it takes to be a good chef. Lesson learned.
Some of the other creations by our friends. Yes we made quite the mess.
My finished pizza (left). Mike’s finished pizza (right). So delicious!
Have you ever had a meal like this with your friends?
