When it’s warm outside, there is honestly nothing better than taking the dogs outside for a swim. It gets me out of the house, it wears the dogs out, it’s a win/win.
Radley learned to swim this summer and that makes me a super proud dog mom. To be honest, I’ve never really tried to teach him to swim before now, but my roommate’s dog, Finley, is an avid swimmer (you’ve never seen a dog run so hard towards water in your life) so Radley was able to pick a few pointers from watching Fin.
It also helps that we just moved right beside a lake. So now I can just walk with the dogs down to the pier and let them jump in. (Radley is the smaller of the two)
Finley loves playing fetch with his Chuck-It and literally won’t let it out of his sight when we are at the lake.
Radley on the other hand loves just looking out at the scenery.
Anxiously awaiting the toss.
Now for some silly ones. These dogs play so hard, you can really tell they are having the time of their lives.
Sometimes we get caught in the crossfire though. Haha this is my roommate Amelia getting pounced on by wet Radley while Finley shakes in the corner. I couldn’t not post this photo because of how ridiculous they all are.
Radley still hasn’t mastered fetching toys in the water. He swims with Fin and lets him get the Chuck-It, and then they swim back. For a dog that loves playing fetch as much as Radley, all I can figure is that he just doesn’t like wet toys.
For the rest of the day, this is what I see. Completely out. And so quiet and peaceful for me to do my work for the rest of the day.
