For several years leather (and faux leather if you prefer) has been making a serious comeback and I’m so excited to see it being sold in stores in all different kinds of styles for the fall and winter. This is personally one of my favorite trends at the moment, since each piece adds a bit of edge to any outfit. Here are some of my favorite leather pieces that are on sell now!
The leather jacket:
I’m loving the brown and tan leather for fall. It’s not as harsh as black and less likely to make your outfit resemble a biker chic, unless that’s what you are into, in which case you probably are already rocking this trend.
This specific jacket can be found at Revolve and trust me, scrolling through their leather jacket category will give you some serious leather envy. And wouldn’t you know it, they are promoting a whole section for leather goods on their website for the fall so go have a look!
These half and half leather and jersey leggings at Bloomingdale’s are perfectly skinny and yet look super comfy. They would be perfect styled under a longer tunic, as normal leggings, or also paired with a feminine lacy top to play with contrasting styles and add just a hit of edge.
Ok so this is where my Leather Lust really gets out of control. I have been keeping my eye out for the perfect leather purse for the winter and it’s becoming more and more difficult, not because they are hard to find, but quite the opposite. There are sooooo many beautiful ones to choose from. Too many actually. This particular one is from Anthropologie and I’m loving the two toned leather which they have on a lot of their bags at the moment. Scrolling through their leather bag selection is torturous because I seriously want them all.
Now in my opinion, leather belts and boots are something that never goes out of style. But I do always enjoy a twist on an old classic. This wrap waist belt from Anthropologie is a welcome change from the standard plain leather belt and adds it’s own character and sass to your outfit. It would be perfect with a dress or tunic and jeans.
I also love me some ankle boots because they give me the feeling of casual high heels that I can still wear to work. This pair is sold at Nordstrom, and have a clean look and rich color that will go with anything. Nordstrom carries many other styles as well that are just as cute!
So there you have it, my favorite trend for the upcoming season. There are plenty of other leather goods on the market at the moment, from tops, jewelry, dresses, really you name it and it’s there. But in my opinion with a style like this, a little bit goes a long way. One or two items can completely make over your wardrobe, but be careful to not over do it with everything leather all at once. And when you find some pieces that really work for you and your style, guaranteed you’ll be able to wear them for years to come.
